Josh Brenneman has been with the Yorktowne Volleyball Program since its inception in 1995. This will be Coach Brenneman’s 28th season with the program where he has had many roles of being a Player, Coach, Athletic Director, and Owner of the Yorktowne Volleyball Program.
Coach Brenneman brings more than 20 years of coaching experience at various levels throughout the state of PA. He has coached Boy’s and Girl’s High School Volleyball, Boys and Girls Club Volleyball, Middle School Volleyball, and he has coached for the USA – Keystone Region High Performance Team. In that time Coach Brenneman has coached multiple teams who won multiple Junior National Qualifiers. His teams have qualified every year for the open division for the Boys Junior National Championships. He has also qualified for the Girls Junior National Championships for the National, American and Open Divisions. In 2014, Coach Brenneman joined a very short list of club coaches in the country that qualified both his Girls and Boys teams for the open division in the same year! During his first year at the helm of the Keystone Region High Performance Program, he took the program right to a Championship Gold Medal in the International Division. Under his guidance, the program has medaled multiple times in the International Division and produced phenomenal athletes who have won Tournament MVP’s.
Coach Brenneman also coaches at Central Dauphin High School where his boy’s teams made back-to-back state final appearances in 2021 and 2022! His Central Dauphin Girl’s program made a State Playoff Appearance in 2019.
Coach Brenneman has been blessed to be able to coach one Olympic athlete, Mitch Stahl, who played in the Tokyo Olympics on the Men’s USA National Team. He is certain he has a second Olympic athlete on the way. Jacob Pasteur plays for Ohio State and is currently traveling with the Men’s USA National Team. Coach Brenneman has dedicated Yorktowne Volleyball and his LIFE to ensuring that the athletes that play for our program get their chance to reach their dreams of playing collegiate volleyball at the highest levels possible. Over the years at Yorktowne, Coach Brenneman has sent hundreds of athletes all over the country to play in the collegiate world at the Division I, Division II, and Division III levels.

Nate Ocasio has been an active member of the local volleyball community for 25 years. Nate’s volleyball career started at Northeastern Senior High School, where he fell love with the sport. After graduation, he joined the Juniata College Men’s Volleyball Team, where he helped the Eagles capture 4 National Championships. During his college career, Nate was selected as s 2-time All-American and was named a two-time Division I, II & III All-East Player, as well as a Final 4 MVP. He also joined the 1,000 career kills club.
Following his time at Juniata, Nate went on to play professional volleyball in the Superior League in Puerto Rico, teaming up alongside a USA Olympic gold medalist and USA national team players. Nate continues to compete in outdoor beach and grass tournaments in the Men's Pro-Division, most notably the Pottstown Rumble where his top finish was 2nd in the Men’s Pro-Division.
Nate’s coaching career began while attending Juniata College, working overnight college camps up and down the East Coast. Since returning home from playing professionally in Puerto Rico, Nate has held numerous coaching positions. Some of these include Sports Performance Coach in Philadelphia, Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach at Kenyon College in Columbus, Ohio, and he was offered an Assistant Coach position for the Women’s Volleyball team at South Dakota State University, which he turned down to stay in the area to be close to his family.
Following his decision to stay in York, PA in 2010, Nate accepted the position as Head Coach for the Central York High School Girls’ Volleyball Team. Over the last 12 years, Nate has led his varsity program to a division record of 114-18 (.863-win percentage) and an overall record of 152-33 (.821-win percentage) which includes Division, County, District and State matches. Some of the program highlights during Nate's tenure with Central include a 2014 Division I Title (a feat that the Panther program had not accomplished since 1986); 6 more consecutive Division 1 titles following that from 2015- 2019 & 2022; a county title in 2022 and a first District Finals appearance in 2015 (their first since 1986). Between 2011-2022, the Panthers made the County and District tournaments each year with an impressive 6 District Final Four appearances, 2 District Finals appearances and have finished in the top 8 in the state on two different occasions, something only 3 other programs have done in AAAA over the last decade.
Nate’s love for coaching spans both to the indoor and outdoor game. He founded an outdoor volleyball program in the summer of 2011 – Beach York Outdoor Volleyball. Beach York continues to be a summer tradition for roughly 300 local 6th-12th grade athletes to attend each year. The program offers local volleyball athletes the opportunity to continue playing and training for the sport they love during their off-season. He is very proud that Beach York continues to be a part of the volleyball community in York County and the surrounding areas for athletes, spreading the love for the outdoor game.
In addition to coaching volleyball, Nate is also an experienced sports performance coach. He began training athletes while living in Philadelphia, where he trained athletes for Philadelphia Sports Club Ignite program, Aspiring Champions Elite in King of Prussia and Next-Gen Sports. Nate was also the Lead Sports Performance Coach for all Ballyhoo Volleyball Club teams.
With a lifelong passion for volleyball, Mark brings over two decades of competitive experience to the court. His journey began in high school with four years of volleyball, then he went on to compete for more than 10 years in club volleyball, gaining extensive experience in team dynamics and high-level play. For the past 20+ years, Mark has remained active in both indoor and outdoor men’s volleyball, consistently refining his skills and deepening his understanding of the game. As a coach, Mark is dedicated to creating a positive, supportive environment where young athletes can learn, grow, and develop a love for the sport. His goal is to teach strong fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship while making the game fun. This is Marks second season with Yorktowne Volleyball Club

Coach Jackie played for the Women’s Volleyball Team at Juniata College and was inducted into the Juniata Hall of Fame in 1999. During her time playing for Juniata, she was a 3 time MAC All-Star, 2-Time All-American and earned a spot on the ASICS/Tiger All-American Squad. She was named MVP of Juniata’s team in 1988 and was selected to the all-tournament squad at the NCAA Division III Championship. Her team advanced to the NCAA finals during all 4 of her seasons and she graduated as the programs career leader in kills, total attacks and digs.
Coach Jackie spent 6 years as the Varsity Coach for the Girl’s Volleyball Team at Spring Grove Area High School, where her team won 2 County and District Championships. She also spent 7 years coaching at Dallastown Area High School for the 7th Grade team and the High School JV Team, where she was the JV Coach & Assistant Varsity Coach. During her time at Dallastown, her team won 1 YAIAA Championship. Coach Jackie has coached Club Volleyball for South PA and the York Y program, where she assisted with their start up.
Jackie began as the varsity coach at Dallastown in 2023. The team went undefeated in league play, winning the YAIAA Division 1 and YAIAA County Championship along with finishing 3rd in AAAA District 3 and 5th in the PIAA State tournament. In 2024, her team repeated as Division and County Champions and qualified for the state tournament.
Coach Kristin played for the Women’s Volleyball Team at Juniata College and was inducted into the Juniata hall of Fame in 2010. During her time playing for Juniata, her team made 4 Final Four appearances and 2 National Championship matches. Coach Kristin is a 3-time AVCA All-American and was named NCAA Division III Woman of the Year in 2000. Prior to college, she played for Dallastown Area High School where her team was the State Runner-Up. She was also selected to the All-State team in 1995 and 1996 and was the YAIAA Player of the Year in 1996.
Coach Kristin has been an Assistant Coach for York College, Syracuse University and Shippensburg University. She was also a head coach for Carroll Viper Volleyball.
Coach Kelsey began her volleyball career at Dallastown Area High School, where she played for their Girl’s Varsity Volleyball Team all 4 years, 2008-2011. During that time, her team won the County
Championship in 2009 and she was named to the District All-Star Team her Senior year. Coach Kelsey also played for Yorktowne Volleyball Club 2006-2011 and her teams have competed in three Junior National Championships. Coach Kelsey is currently an Assistant Coach for Red Lion High School JV & Varsity Teams.
Coach Holly played for the Girl’s volleyball team at Northeastern from 2010-2014 where she served as captain for 3 years. She went on to continue her volleyball career at Lock Haven University from 2014-2018, serving as captain her senior season. She has experience running camps & clinics for various age groups throughout her college career as well as through the YMCA.
Coach Joe began his volleyball career at Central York High School. He went on to play for the Men’s Club Team at Shippensburg University throughout college. Coach Joe began his coaching career at Yorktowne Volleyball Club in 2008. He ventured into the High School scene and was the Head Varsity Coach for the Girl’s Volleyball Team at West York Area High School from 2011-2019. During his tenure at West York, his team won 4 Division Titles, 2 County Championship Titles, 1 District Championship and 1 District Runner Up. His team made 4 appearances in the PIAA State Championship Tournament, where they made 2 Final Four appearances and were twice a part of the Sweet Sixteen. Additionally, his team won a State Championship in AAA. In 2018, Coach Joe was selected as the NFHS Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Coach Andrew played for the Boy’s Volleyball Team at West York Area High School from 2007-2010, where he was named All-State in 2010. Coach Andrew played for the Men’s Club Volleyball Team for Yorktowne Volleyball Club from 2007-2010, going on to play for the Men’s Volleyball Team at Penn State Altoona from 2010-2012. Coach Andrew has coached both the Varsity and JV Girl’s Volleyball Teams for West York High School since 2015. During his tenure, his team has been named State Champions, District Champions, YAIAA Champions and 4-time Division Champions. Coach Andrew has also coached Girl’s Volleyball Club Teams for Yorktowne Volleyball Club (2017 & 2018) and Ballyhoo Volleyball Club
(2019-2022).
Coach Amanda played for the Girl’s Varsity Volleyball Team at West York High School during her 4 years of high school. Additionally, she played for Yorktowne Volleyball Club from 2008-2016. She went on to continue her volleyball career at Lebanon Valley College from 2016-2020. Coach Amanda coached the U15 age group for Ballyhoo Volleyball Club 2020-2022.
Coach Shannon played on the Girl’s Volleyball Team for Dallastown Area High School 1994-1997. She was named Gatorade Player of the Year for PA and Gatorade Player of the Year for the Mid-Atlantic Region in 1996 & 1997. Coach Shannon went on to play volleyball on for the Penn State Women’s Volleyball Team 1998-2002. Coach Shannon then became Head Coach for the Dallastown Girl’s Volleyball Team from 2002-2021, winning County Championships in 2008 & 2019. This is coach Shannon's second year with Yorktowne.
Coach Laura played on the Girl’s Volleyball Team for Dallastown Area High School from 2003-2007. She went on to play on the Women’s Volleyball Team at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown from 2007-2009 before transferring to the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland and playing for the Pitt Women’s Volleyball Club Team. Coach Laura continues to play volleyball on the East Coast Volleyball Circuit and outdoor sand leagues. Coach Laura coached for Ballyhoo Volleyball Club from 2019-2021. This is coach Laura's second year with Yorktowne.

Amanda Shouck discovered her passion for volleyball at just 11 years old, following in the footsteps of a family tradition rooted in the sport. She began her competitive journey playing throughout high school and with club teams such as South PAs and York Juniors, also known as Yorktowne.
Amanda has been a cornerstone of the York Suburban High School girls’ volleyball program for over 20 years. Her leadership has helped the program achieve consistent success, including multiple appearances in county, district, and state tournaments. Under her guidance, the team has won several Division II Championships and the YAIAA County Championship, and regularly placed in the top three in district competitions which led to state runs. Amanda specializes in preparing the JV team for high-level varsity competition, with results that include undefeated seasons, top finishes in JV tournaments, and numerous athletes advancing to play college volleyball at a high level.
She also served as the interim JV boys’ volleyball coach at York Suburban for three years, where her teams remained undefeated for two seasons and earned medals in JV tournament championships.
Amanda also will join the Central York Middle School girls’ volleyball program come Spring of 2026.
Beyond high school coaching, Amanda has contributed significantly to club volleyball. She coached at Yorktowne for nine years across various girls’ open age groups, guiding several teams to qualify for USAV Nationals, AAU Nationals, and high-level finishes at East Coast Championships. Her teams have earned numerous accolades, including 1st and 2nd place tournament finishes, Irish Rumble Championships, President’s Day Cup titles, and a runner-up finish in the KRVA Junior Girls Open Division.
Amanda played a key role in launching the Spooky Nook Volleyball program, coaching for three years and acting as a coach mentor. During this time, she helped establish a successful foundation for the program, with highlights including a 2012 Irish Rumble Championship and the 2014 Nook President’s Day Cup title.
She also spent three years coaching and mentoring at Ballyhoo Volleyball Club, leading the 12s and 13s age groups. Her teams consistently earned top finishes, and in 2025, three of her players were recognized as All-Tournament selections.
Amanda’s deep knowledge, coaching expertise, and player development skills have made her a respected figure in the volleyball community. Her commitment to excellence continues to inspire athletes at all levels.

Coach Lexy played for the Women’s Volleyball Team at Juniata College her freshman and sophomore year, where she won the Division III Women’s Volleyball National Championship in 2022. To finish her collegiate career, she transferred to play for the Women’s Volleyball Team at SUNY Cortland.
After Coach Lexy’s junior season at Cortland, she was sidelined due to injury, which paved the way for an early start to her coaching career. While recovering from knee surgery, she became a student assistant coach for the Cortland Women’s Volleyball Team and coached the top Girls 15U club team out of Syracuse with Club SyrV. During Coach Lexy’s senior year, she was the Girl’s Volleyball Varsity Assistant Coach at Skaneateles High School, returned to Club SyrV as the Head Coach for the top Girls 16U club team, and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning.
Coach Lexy has a passion for player development, an advanced volleyball IQ, and a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals. Her unique college experience provides additional knowledge about the importance of grit, determination, and the culmination of work that goes into becoming a strong athlete.
