Nate Ocasio
Girls Director
With 25 years of experience in the volleyball community, Nate Ocasio has built a respected career as a player, coach, and sports performance trainer. A Hall of Famer, former professional player, 4-time National Champion, 2-time All-American at Juniata College, and Pottstown Rumble Pro Division finalist, Nate has also spent 17 years leading the Central York High School Girls Volleyball program, is entering his fifth season as Club Director of Yorktowne Volleyball Club, and is the founder of Beach York Outdoor Volleyball.
Nate Ocasio has been an active member of the volleyball community for more than 25 years, building a distinguished career as a player, coach, club director, and sports performance trainer.
A graduate of Northeastern Senior High School, Nate continued his playing career at Juniata College, where he helped lead the Eagles to four National Championships. During his collegiate career, he earned All-American honors twice, was a two-time Division I, II, and III All-East selection, earned Final Four MVP honors, and became a member of the prestigious 1,000 Career Kills Club.
Following college, Nate played professionally in Puerto Rico's Superior League, competing alongside USA National Team players and an Olympic Gold Medalist. He remains active in the outdoor game, competing in Men's Pro beach and grass volleyball events throughout the East Coast. His top finish came at the Pottstown Rumble, where he placed second in the Men's Pro Division.
Nate's coaching career began while attending Juniata College, where he worked collegiate camps throughout the East Coast. Since returning home, he has held numerous coaching and sports performance positions, including Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach at Kenyon College, Sports Performance Coach in the Philadelphia area, and Lead Sports Performance Coach for Ballyhoo Volleyball Club. He was also offered an assistant coaching position at South Dakota State University before ultimately choosing to remain in Pennsylvania to be closer to family.
In 2010, Nate accepted the Head Girls Volleyball Coach position at Central York High School. Since taking over the program, he has guided the Panthers to eight division championships, a county title, multiple District III Final appearances, and numerous state playoff berths. Under his leadership, Central York captured its first Division I Championship since 1986 and made its first District III Championship appearance since 1986. From 2011 through 2026, the Panthers qualified for both the York County and District III Tournaments every season, establishing themselves as one of the region's most consistent and competitive programs.
Nate's passion for growing the game extends beyond the indoor court. In 2011, he founded Beach York Outdoor Volleyball, which has become a staple of the local volleyball community. Each summer, hundreds of athletes participate in Beach York's training programs, camps, leagues, and tournaments, providing opportunities for players to continue developing their skills while fostering a love for the outdoor game.
Nate is also the Co-Owner and Club Director of Yorktowne Volleyball Club, where he continues to help athletes pursue their goals at the high school, collegiate, and national levels. Through his coaching, training, and leadership, Nate remains committed to developing well-rounded athletes and creating opportunities for players to reach their full potential both on and off the court.
